Our Community

West Moreton Anglican College is located within the City of Ipswich - a city leading the way in education, industry, residential development, technology, tourism and sport.  Ipswich is centrally situated in the booming South-East Queensland growth corridor and its residents come from 115 different ethnic backgrounds and speak 84 languages.

Our College recognises the importance of community and we have strong associations with the public sector through local, State and Federal Government agencies.  Our relationship with the private sector is such that we are the State's largest provider of Vocational Education and Training (VET) programs, with 61 students in 2007 undertaking apprenticeships and traineeships.

Community within our College embraces our current students and staff, our past students (alumni) and staff , and members of our College Council - as well as their families and friends.  Through the invaluable volunteer activities of our P & F Association and its sub-committee, the P & F Association Auxiliary, our community comes together to promote the interests of the College and foster relationships through friendraising and fundraising activities.
