The Junior School program offered at West Moreton Anglican College develops the whole child: mind, body and spirit.
To this end, our curriculum has been designed to place great emphasis on the mastering of skills - both intellectually and physically - and the development of personal values based on a Christian way of life.
Emphasis is placed on literacy and numeracy skills which we believe are the key to future academic success. Students who achieve beyond their year level are challenged to extend their thinking through a variety of enrichment tasks that recognise different learning styles and the existence of multiple intelligences.
Those children who require support to reach their potential are catered for using a variety of intervention methods such as functional living skills, perceptual motor skills, and literacy and numeracy groups. The College has a dedicated learning support team within the Junior School.
