From the Head of Middle School

In 1997, in recognition of the specific intellectual, social and pastoral needs of children aged 11-14 years, West Moreton Anglican College introduced its Middle School program.

The program caters for students in Years 7, 8 and 9 and assists in the move from Junior School by recognising the individuality of children in this age group and providing them with the stepping stones that make the transition to Senior School as smooth as possible.

The Middle School years, which represent a time of physical change and emotional development during the transition to adolescence, can be challenging for both students and parents.  Our Middle School ensures a safe and caring environment in which students can make decisions and solve problems – knowing they have support from dedicated teachers.

At West Moreton Anglican College, we know that the combination of a strong academic program and a comprehensive pastoral care system provides the basis for excellent academic, pastoral and co-curricular experiences that ensure the personal development of each student.  Our pastoral care system is underpinned by a very comprehensive Life Skills Program that is sequential and seamless.

Early adolescents face many challenges and so I invite you to visit our Middle School to learn how our program assists students – and their parents/guardians – to deal with these challenges.
