In January 2008, our Principal inducted the Student Leadership Team from our Senior, Middle and Junior Schools at formal ceremonies in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd. The students individually made their promises to the College community and, to further highlight the essential partnership between the College and the home, parents of the student leaders then came forward and presented the badge of office to their child.
Mr Switzer, in his address to students and their families and staff, noted that leadership in all of its forms at our College - from the Principal down - is considered to be a service role to others in the College community. Our leaders are not in their positions as a reward for good work or good behaviour. Rather, the appointment of a leader is the result of a matching of a person by the staff of the College and that person's peer group to a specific responsiblity to be fulfilled for the service of others.
Our Co-Captains have a high degree of individual responsibility in upholding the ideals and rules of the College at all times and act as guides and mentors to others.
