Academic Registrar
This is a permanent, full-time position.
The Academic Registrar will provide a high level of administrative support for academic and student matters in the College.
Key responsibilities:
- Timetabling:
- Collate and process data for the College timetable including maintenance of the Timetabler database for scheduling of lessons, uploading of student subject preferences and generation of class lists P-12.
- Maintain those areas of the TASS database to do with the College timetable, student subjects and class lists.
- Create and maintain the yard duty roster.
- Subject selection:
- Coordinate annual update and preparation of subject selection handbooks.
- Administrate and process matters to do with academic courses and subject changes.
- Track student ATAR and QCE eligibility when subject changes are requested and alert Director of Curriculum of any issues.
- Compile class subject sets in consultation with Leaders of Learning and the Director of Curriculum.
- Coordinate/organise and attend Subject Selection evenings.
- Prepare and manage the collection of the Student Management System, liaise with the QCAA and meet lodgement deadlines for all required Student Management results.
- Assist and deputise for the School Officer - Academic Administration and Staff Scheduling regarding coordination of covers as required between the hours of 6:30am and 3pm.
- Other key responsibilities appropriate to the banding of the position as determined by the Manager of the role.
The successful candidate will possess:
- High proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
- Highly demonstrated level of organisational, time management, analytical, research, problem solving, interpersonal, word processing, communication and computer literacy skills.
- Comprehensive knowledge of administrative systems, processes and procedures, and contemporary office technology.
- Proven ability to work with minimal supervision and direction, adopt flexible, innovative and creative work practices, consistent display of initiative and manage information in a professional, discreet and confidential manner.
- High-level interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication and the ability to relate in a professional and courteous manner with staff, parents and students.
- Familiarity with procedures of the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority (QCAA).
- Proficient in the use of the Student Management, The Alpha School System (TASS), and The Timetabler.
