Finance Officer - Payroll & Finance Operations
About the Role
We are seeking a capable and customer‑focused Finance Officer - Payroll & Finance Operations to join our Finance team in a full-time capacity.
This role is responsible for the end‑to‑end payroll function and will also involve general finance work or project-based activities, depending on your skills and experience.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys payroll but is also looking to broaden their experience across finance.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll
- End‑to‑end payroll processing including pay runs, adjustments, leave and terminations
- Responding to staff payroll enquiries in a timely, clear and supportive manner
- Ensuring compliance with Enterprise Agreements, awards and legislation
- Maintaining payroll records and supporting ongoing process improvements
- Support payroll reporting, analytics and budget inputs
Finance & Projects
- Assist with month‑end processing, reporting and reconciliations
- Assist with finance projects and process improvement initiatives
- Provide back‑up support to other finance functions
The successful candidate will possess:
- Experience in end-to-end payroll processing
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly with staff
- A proactive, solutions‑focused approach
- Ability to work collaboratively and take ownership of your work
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge and use of Microsoft office systems, including Excel etc.
