Student Wellbeing

Ensuring your child is seen, safe and supported

At WestMAC, our approach to wellbeing is designed to nurture the whole child: emotionally, socially, spiritually and academically. We provide a safe, inclusive environment where diversity is celebrated, kindness is expected and every person is encouraged to grow in character and confidence.

Our wellbeing programs

Student wellbeing is driven through a number of dedicated touchpoints such as our SpiritED Classes, Chapel and assembly. Here, students learn The WestMAC Way — an approach to wellbeing that’s in alignment with gospel values with a focus on restorative practices.

Religious and Values Education (RAVE) is a core part of our curriculum, offered weekly to all year levels. Rooted in Christian tradition and shaped by Anglican beliefs, RAVE invites students to explore faith, identity, ethics and meaning through open dialogue and critical thinking.

Throughout the year, your child will also experience age-appropriate special events and programs designed to build resilience, promote mental health, encourage respectful relationships and foster a sense of belonging across all year levels. These include R U OK Day, Reconciliation Week, U R Strong, Zones of Regulation, Play is the Way, Life Education workshops and more.

If you’d like to learn more about our approach to student wellbeing, we’d invite you to get in touch with our Sub-School Wellbeing teams or our College Counsellors.

West Moreton Anglican College respectfully acknowledges the Traditional Owners, the Jagera, Yuggera and Ugarapul People of the Yugara/Yagara Language Group, as custodians of the land and waters we share.
