Chaplaincy

At WestMAC, our Anglican tradition is central to who we are. Since our inception, Anglican values have shaped a community built on faith, compassion and respect for every individual. Our wellbeing approach is deeply connected to this identity, with pastoral care woven into the daily life of each student.

Our full-time College Chaplain, Rev'd Jane Markotsis, serves as a consistent and compassionate presence, available to all students regardless of their faith background, providing one-on-one support along with spiritual programs that foster a sense of belonging, purpose and hope. Working alongside our Chaplain is Evie, our much-loved Chaplaincy Support Dog. Evie is a calming presence across campus and plays a key role in offering comfort, companionship and emotional support to students of all ages.

Weekly Chapel services, Bible study groups, and Christian fellowship opportunities enable students to explore faith in a safe and inclusive environment. Initiatives such as Wednesday Worship and partnerships with external mission organisations like Anglicare offer students meaningful ways to connect, serve others, and experience God’s love in action.
