Outdoor Education

Building resilience through nature-based learning

At WestMAC, we take every opportunity to encourage our students to get outside, learn, and explore the stunning natural environment around them. We know that navigating through nature often increases their ability to overcome challenges and improve their mental strength — all in a safe, supported, and most of all, enjoyable environment.

Our carefully designed, bespoke Outdoor Education Program offers every child the ability to participate in both on-campus and off-site activities, facilitated by trusted service providers in collaboration with our specialist staff. These activities include rock climbing, abseiling, mountain biking, orienteering, canoeing and archery.

Participation in Outdoor Education is included in College fees, so there are no additional payments required to participate. Along with regular outdoor activities, the program includes camps where students experience living in a range of different settings such as national parks, outback adventures, beach and sea environments.

Our College Camps

Junior School Camps

Our Junior School camps are shorter in length, and held on-campus from Prep to Year 2 and in local locations from Year 3 onwards.

Middle School Camps

Our Middle School camps are also held both on-campus and in locations further away from home, including the Gold Coast.

Senior School Camps

Our Senior School camps are focused on leadership, adventure and development, and are all held on and off campus.
