Why Families Choose WestMAC

A College of opportunities

West Moreton Anglican College (WestMAC) is proud to be the school of choice for families seeking a holistic, values-based education. Grounded in our rich Anglican heritage, yet forging ahead with a comprehensive suite of innovative programs and student pathways, WestMAC prepares students for success as rounded, global citizens.

But even more importantly, WestMAC offers our students a sense of belonging and community. We place a strong emphasis on your child’s wellbeing, in addition to their academic progress. As your child progresses through our sub-schools, they’ll be supported and encouraged to discover their individual passions and interests, and to develop the knowledge and skills to equip them for a successful future.

A campus designed for every student

Set across 38 leafy hectares, the West Moreton Anglican College campus offers a spacious and inspiring environment for students from Prep to Year 12. Our Junior, Middle and Senior schools are thoughtfully interconnected, with our beautiful Chapel at the centre, representing the heart of our College: our Christian faith. As you explore our grounds, you’ll find purpose-built facilities for every interest, including a world-class Trade Skills Centre, working farm and orchard, our high-performance gym and bespoke subschool precincts.

WestMAC has always been our first choice for our children’s education. We have been continually impressed by the nurturing environment, the excellence in our daughter’s academic performance, and the extensive opportunities and experiences she has been afforded. Our family is proud and honoured to be part of the WestMAC community.

All-inclusive programs

At WestMAC, your child will enjoy a rich variety of opportunities across sport, music, outdoor education and beyond, covered by our all-inclusive fee structure. Our extracurricular programs include everything from agriculture, robotics and dance to team sports, instrumental music, and leadership development — all led by specialist teachers, coaches and tutors.

WestMAC has given me many opportunities to foster and grow my passions from a young age. Having opportunities in the arts instilled in me through programs like Junior School Dance Crew, Year 3 String Immersion, Year 5/6 Band Immersion and private instrument tuition pushed me to start my journey into music and performance. That is what I love about WestMAC; guidance and encouragement to show me just what I am capable of.

A collaborative approach to parent engagement

At WestMAC, we view education as a collaborative partnership between our staff and your family. We ensure our teachers maintain open lines of meaningful communication around your child’s learning and behaviour, and foster strong connections across all stages of their schooling. We believe that by working together, we can provide a consistent and supportive environment that enables your child to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

Wellbeing support that helps our students thrive

Our College is renowned for its strong pastoral care approach. We know that student wellbeing is essential to a positive school experience, and its importance extends well beyond academic success. With specialised staff, registered nurses and counsellors in place to support students, our community ensures your child’s emotional and mental health needs are addressed so they can better engage in their learning, build positive relationships and develop the resilience required to navigate challenges.

What I love most about WestMAC has got to be its friendly and loving community that we are surrounded by. WestMAC has definitely helped me move beyond my comfort zone and encouraged me to interact with and make friends with other people through their amazing extra curricular programs.
