Campus and Facilities

Learning in harmony with nature

At WestMAC, we’re proud of our large yet incredibly welcoming and familiar campus where our students can learn, play and grow in a peaceful and safe environment. Due to our unique location and expansive grounds, we offer large, purpose-built facilities for students catering to all interests.

Our campus is thoughtfully designed in a ‘U’ shape around our magnificent College lake, with each facility thoughtfully positioned to facilitate a smooth transition as your student moves from Junior through to Senior School. At the heart of our campus lies our new Student Hub — a shared space for staff and students to collaborate and connect. The Hub reflects our core philosophy: that everything we do begins and ends with our learners.

Our Chapel and Student Hub

Faith and a love of learning are woven into daily life at WestMAC, and our campus design reflects this. At the heart of the College sits the Chapel of the Good Shepherd — a peaceful space overlooking our lake and a powerful symbol of our Anglican heritage. Nearby, our new Student Hub joins the Chapel as a central gathering place, reinforcing our commitment to nurturing both the spiritual and academic growth of our students. Each week, students and staff come together in the Chapel for services filled with reflection, celebration and connection. The Chapel also welcomes the broader community every Sunday during school terms for worship and fellowship.

Our libraries

From Term 2 2026, our library program will operate out of our new Student Hub: a vibrant, shared space that reimagines how students access information at WestMAC. Our library services team share a passion for literature and reading advocacy and keep our shelves well-stocked with extensive book collections. Students can visit the libraries during dedicated library time and during standard opening hours.

Our courts, ovals, pools and sporting facilities

To meet the sporting needs of our students, we offer a range of facilities purpose-built to accommodate a variety of activities. Our 25-metre pool offers tiered seating for parents to supervise swimming squads, and to house our on-campus swimming carnival. Our campus has dedicated tennis, basketball and netball courts as well as multipurpose courts, two large ovals with cricket nets and two soccer/hockey fields.

Our courts, ovals, cricket wickets and nets are all available for external hire to sporting teams and community groups.

The Lostroh Centre

The Lostroh Centre is our spacious, air-conditioned multipurpose hall, built to host theatre and dance performances, indoor sports and a range of recreational activities, including tennis, volleyball, basketball, badminton, netball and more. The cushioned Decoflex sports surface helps reduce fatigue, minimise injury and absorb sound, making it ideal for both athletic and performance-based activities.

The Lostroh Centre is also the setting for many of our major College events, including Scholars’ Assembly and whole-of-school celebrations, and is available for hire for community performances, rehearsals and sporting events. With a seating capacity of up to 2,100 people, it’s one of the largest venues of its kind in the Ipswich region.

Our working farm and orchard

WestMAC offers a comprehensive Agricultural Program where students can gain hands-on experience, skills and knowledge on a working farm and orchard within the College campus. Agriculture is a vital part of our 21st-century sociological, cultural, economic and environmental systems here in Australia, and we recognise the need to train the next generation in modern, ethical and sustainable farming practices. Our specialist teachers offer this education, with an emphasis on beef cattle enterprise. Our farm is home to a small Charolais Stud herd and commercial beef herd, as well as a rare, endangered breed of sheep cared for as part of our commitment to biodiversity and conservation in agriculture.

Outside of hours school care

Conveniently located near our College pool is the Outside of Hours School Care (OHSC) Program — designed to provide a safe and engaging environment for students requiring care before or after the school day. Students enjoy a structured yet flexible program in a relaxed setting. Our experienced and caring staff watch over each child, while also providing nutritious snacks to keep your child energised.

West Moreton Community Kindergarten (C&K)

West Moreton Community Kindergarten (affiliated with C&K) provides a nurturing space where young children develop a range of skills that prepare them for school and future learning. Our fully qualified early childhood educators are passionate about helping children learn through play, as they explore, learn and discover their potential. The kindergarten has access to College resources such as the library and farm to further enrich each child’s learning. West Moreton Community Kindergarten offers a two-day program, with a choice of Monday and Tuesday (Blue Group) or Thursday and Friday (Green Group) from 8.00am to 3.30pm.
