TAS Sports Presentation Night

The Sports Department is pleased to invite Year 7 to 12 students and their families to attend the TAS Sports Presentation Night

Date: Friday 7 November 2014

Time: 6.15pm – please be seated by 6.00pm

Venue: Multipurpose Hall

A complimentary sausage sizzle with tea, coffee and cordial will be provided from 5.15pm to 6.00pm on the Upper Junior Oval side of the Multipurpose Hall.

Students excel in National Write a Book in a Day Competition

As a part of the celebrations of Book Week 2014, four teams of students undertook the enormous challenge of writing, illustrating and publishing a book in just one day.

Described by organisers on their website as “the ultimate writing challenge”, each team had twelve hours to produce their book, based on parameters provided to them at 8am.

Year 11 students Julia Gorst, Courtney Gudgeon, Georgia Elborne, Georgina Utz and Elise Vanderreyden received a Highly Commended from the judges, for Best Book across Queensland, South Australia, Australian Capital Territory, Northern Territory and Tasmania.

Students awarded early entry scholarships by USQ

Five Year 12 students have been awarded early entry scholarships into University of Southern Queensland degrees for 2015.

Ashleigh Russell, Mikala Neal, Cecelia Collman, Jessica Mathewson and Mitchell Foy were successful in the USQ Year 12 Early Round Scholarships for Principal-recommended high achievers and community leaders, of which only a total of 50 scholarships were offered.

Music Instrumental Scholarships 2014/2015

Scholarship applications are now open for talented instrumental music students to enrol at WestMAC in 2015 in Years 8, 9 and 10.

Changes to Junior School Access

Since the June/July holidays, construction works to extend the Year 1 classrooms have been in full swing. These have impacted pedestrian access to the Junior School over the course of Terms 3 and 4.

Who are we?


Owned and operated by the Anglican Diocese of Brisbane, West Moreton Anglican College opened its doors on 31 January 1994 with an initial intake of 225 children.

Although founded only recently, our College has a long history that can be traced back to 1855, when St Paul's Day School opened its doors in Brisbane Street, Ipswich.
