Our New Student Hub | The Heart of WestMAC
West Moreton Anglican College is excited to welcome its new Student Hub into College life, marking a major milestone in the continued development of our campus and long-term Master Plan.
Designed around the needs of students from Prep to Year 12, the three-level Student Hub brings together contemporary learning spaces, library facilities and student support services in a central location, with connection, learning and wellbeing at its heart.
The building includes dedicated Junior and Secondary library spaces, classrooms, study and collaboration areas, the Health Centre, College Counsellors, Learning Enrichment, Chaplaincy, Defence School Mentor and IT Support. A number of College administration and leadership teams are also now located within the building.
One of the Student Hub’s standout features is its tiered auditorium spanning the Ground Level and Level 1. The flexible space provides a new setting for presentations, learning experiences and College gatherings, while study rooms and shared areas throughout the building provide students with greater choice in how and where they learn.
Each of the building’s three levels has its own visual identity inspired by the natural environment. Orange and rust tones on the Ground Level represent the earth, green on Level 1 reflects the trees and plants, while blue on Level 2 represents the sky.
As we open the Student Hub, WestMAC acknowledges that the building stands on Yugara Country, cared for by First Nations peoples for thousands of years. We honour this continuing connection and remain committed to recognising, respecting and embedding Indigenous perspectives throughout our College community.
The opening of the Student Hub follows the completion of other significant campus improvements, including the redevelopment and extension of JJ Block and upgrades to the Keswick Road Courts.
Together, these projects represent an important investment in the spaces our students use every day and ensure our campus continues to evolve to support the needs of the WestMAC community.
We look forward to seeing the Student Hub become a vibrant part of everyday College life and a place where students can learn, connect and access support throughout their WestMAC journey.
