Social justice activities are one of the significant ways that our community connects with the Christian faith principle of compassion in action. Each year students participate in a range of activities in House groups to raise funds and create awareness for their community project or charity.

Our students chose to support a ranger of Local and National/International charities. In 2018, the focus was to raise funds for headspace Ipswich, a locally based organisation doing amazing work in the field and childhood and youth mental health. In 2017 significate funds were raised for Orange Sky Laundry, who help to positively connect people in need through free laundry, showers and conversation.

WestMAC support the World’s Great Shave years rising funds for the Leukaemia Foundation, the Anglican Archbishop’s Emergency Fund, and a number of other funds that support the Drought and other emergencies, including the 2019 Townsville Floods.
