We are seeking a passionate Director of Curriculum who will take responsibility for all matters pertaining to the College’s curriculum and pedagogy to ensure a seamless P-12 model across all sub-schools and learning areas reflecting current educational research and best practice
This position is full-time, permanent role starting January, 2026.
Key responsibilities:
- Responsibility for the content and pedagogy of all aspects of the P-12 curriculum.
- Oversight and preparation of all courses P-12.
- Plan and construct the College P-12 timetable.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to Secondary Teachers.
- Liaison and compliance with all QCAA and NCCD reporting requirements.
- Oversight of the budgeting process undertaken by teaching departments.
- Implement elements of the College Strategic Plan which pertain to curriculum P-12.
- Oversight and implementation of Subject Selection processes.
- Oversight and responsibility for student academic achievement, including ATAR administration, S.E.T. planning, career guidance, tertiary entrance applications and Vocational Education certification.
- Oversight of the College’s Learning Enrichment and Extension Programs.
- Oversight and responsibility for the College’s Pre-Service Teaching Program.
The successful candidate will possess:
- Must be registered or eligible for registration in Queensland as a teacher.
- Tertiary qualifications in education and the capacity to teach in at least two (2) disciplines.
- Possession of a higher degree (Masters or Doctorate) in Leadership, Counselling, Pastoral Care or related discipline would be viewed favourably.
- Membership of relevant professional organisations.
- A clearly articulated philosophy that is synergistic and harmonious with the Anglican ethos.
- Capacity to lead others in the process of change and positively promote the profile of the organisation.
- Solid commitment to and understanding of all student protection requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to engage parents, teachers, students and the broader community in such a way that individual creativity and achievement is supported and celebrated within a broader context of uncompromising excellence.
