Curriculum

West Moreton Anglican College provides a complete Prep to Year 12 academic program which follows the Australian Curriculum and reports to the Australian Curriculum Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA).

Our academic program is carefully sequenced, ensuring that each student is engaged in their learning through developmentally appropriate content, assessment and grading. The College follows the Dimensions of Learning pedagogical framework that encourages learning as a ‘meaningful experience’ through decision making, problem solving, invention, experimental inquiry, investigation and system analysis.

Our curriculum been collaboratively developed by the academic community to ensure that high quality teaching is focused on inspiring each student to their academic potential and to be responsible for their personal learning journey.

WestMAC expects that all staff and students will be committed and actively contribute to the learning community. There is a high level of integration across subject disciplines, year levels and between our academic and extra-curricular programs, ensures that students have the opportunity to flourish.

Our dedicated team of teachers and staff work collaboratively to support the academic program with blended-learning techniques. The use of iPads and laptops in the classroom ensures that students develop the necessary skills and abilities to remain responsive and adapt to an ever-changing technology focused world.

Our Junior, Middle and Senior Schools promote progressive curriculum design in combination with high quality pastoral care structures, fostering a strong sense of community and belonging for each student.
