Welcome

Thank you for your interest in our College. West Moreton Anglican College (more popularly known as WestMAC) is seeking a spiritual, educational and organizational leader to replace Mr Geoff McLay who, after just over 14 years of highly meritorious service, will seek to undertake his many other interests in the area of educational leadership after December 2024.

During his time at WestMAC, the College has been developed, grown, and fundamentally transformed into a mature, well-regarded, and high performing institution. With just under 1500 students (P-12), enrolments are near capacity, and the College enjoys a strong future enrolment demand, has a strong financial position and envisions an aspirational capital works program.

The College is located in a beautiful 38-hectare semi-rural setting at Karrabin, approximately 10 km from the Ipswich CBD. The College is conveniently located 1 km off the Warrego Highway meaning it is highly accessible to the Brisbane CBD – only 35 min away and has easy access from the western suburbs of Brisbane.

We are seeking an innovative educational leader who can inspire our committed and passionate students, staff and families in ways that see our community continue to evolve as a leader in outstanding standards of care, committed Anglican ethos and a focus on individual excellence through strong academic and extracurricular programs.

This is an excellent opportunity to bring vision and innovative academic leadership to a pioneering Prep to 12 College in one of the fastest growing regions in Australia. It is a significant role in a College with a reputation for providing a first-rate education where aspirational students are inspired to build personal capacity and resilience.

I welcome and thank you for your interest in the role and look forward to working with the successful applicant in taking WestMAC forward.
